They’re Back!!!

Finally some more shows worth watching. Or at least viewing via Hulu.

Most are aware that I don’t spend my time in front of my TV to actually watch TV. I use my glorious TV set for viewing movies or playing games. Rarely is there any actual cable program on display. However with Hulu still being a option for the time being I’m able to watch some shows to keep me up with the times. No wait, that is wrong. They aren’t reality shows so I’m still behind. Stuck in a time where acting actually brought something to the show.

With that here is a list of the shows that I am currently watching.

Lego Mini-Fight (video)

Okay tossing up a really quick stop motion with a little added sound. I didn’t go all out with punch sound effects yet as I actually have to work on some of those as I don’t have any readily available. I had also planned to do this during the weekend, however I was sidetracked with other events. As always I hope to continue these mini works until I get a few ideas together to make a longer video. Maybe something in the 1-5 minute range. But that is a little ways off. For now, enjoy.

Stop Motion Video (Lego Man [Test 2])

Time for the continuation of yesterdays stop motion film. Continuing my use of the legos; I have made a mini clip of the lego man exiting his dump truck.

I hope that by this weekend or by the end of the weekend I will have a clip together of two lego men having a brawl. With audio is fall goes well. Which I think will be sweet.

So found a box of legos that had been in the trunk of the car and started the task of trying my hand a making it into stop motion scene. It’s pretty short of course and there are a good many issues that came up. You’ll notice while you’re not paying attention to the man the opening and closing of the window as well as the appearance and disappearance of certain items through the shot. All in all the shot took a little over 30 minutes to capture using my camera. Don’t be too hard on me. It’s just a first test.

Another stop motion film. I feel if I keep this up it’ll be time for me to bust out my old lego men to make a video or something. Possibly come the first snow fall or spring I will find myself outside shooting some nature shots.

Cleaning the Garage (video)

I decided to setup my camera on the tri-pod as I attacked the wreck in the garage. I took a picture every time I organized or removed an item from the area and stitched them all together in a quick video. Hopefully at some point I will be able to do some more stop action video. It just take a long time to get it all together. But it does have a nice effect in my opinion.

Should Have Called It THE SUB

At least that is Tony’s take on it. And what is “it”? It’s the AMD ATI Radeon HD 5970. That thing is a monster! No other way to put it. While I, myself, am a Nvidia fan boy of sorts there is no denying the power this card commands. Simply put there really is no card from Nvidias line up that can compete with it on a real level. The only benefits that Nvidia has is having such a large fan base to drowned out the sound of AMD/ATI shouting “Look at me!” from the corner of the room.

Now as to Tony’s take on the name “The Sub” I feel there are many possible reasons for this. Perhaps it is due to is giant size and usually all black design. Perhaps because like a sub diving below the waters your wallet will take a dive with you shelling out over $600+ for this beast. Or perhaps he was just damn hungry for a Subway sub and read that this card measures in at almost a foot long. To bad this thing doesn’t cost anywhere near $5.00.

As for the hefty price tag with purchase of the card alone, I feel most will be ponying up a bit more coin in order to buy a case that would be large enough to support its length. Every time I look at the measurements again I just get this image of me trying to shove my shoe into my computer case and that being about what it’d be like having this card inside.
